“A heart at peace gives life to the body” (Proverbs 14:30).
One of the key indicators of being well-conditioned is a lower resting heart rate. This state is achieved not by wishful thinking but an intentional, disciplined routine of exercise. What is true of the heart in relationship to our physical well-being is no less true of the heart and our spiritual well-being. A vital Christian life is achieved only by a heart that is being intentionally trained in the things of God. It is only the disciplined heart of faith that realizes peace and rest, and, thus, life for the body.
May the peace of our Lord fill your life with vitality.
