“By faith Abel offered to God a better sacrifice than Cain, through which he obtained the testimony that he was righteous, God testifying about his gifts, and through faith, though he is dead, he still speaks” (Hebrews 11:4).
How you live today is significant. In a cumulative way, your choices, decisions, relationships, actions, words, work ethic, and attitude are building for those around you a reservoir of memories. It is these memories that will continue to speak of us long after we are gone. If we live well the life of faith, it is a legacy that will be handed down from generation to generation.
“The memory of the righteous will be a blessing, but the name of the wicked will rot” (Proverbs 10:7).
Instead of letting others talk about us after we are gone, we should strive to let the life we lived do the talking for us.
