“But Joseph said to them, ‘Do not be afraid, for am I in God’s place? As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good in order to bring about this present result, to preserve many people alive'” (Genesis 50:19-20).
The life of Joseph is a reminder that arriving to the place to where God would have us to be is seldom a straight line. Most often it is a disjointed path filled with pain, disappointment, and injustice. Yet, it is these detours and side-trips that prove to be necessary in getting us to a destination we would have never imagined but God had all along intended.
