“Then He said, ‘Do not come near here; remove your sandals from your feet, for the place on which you are standing is holy ground’” (Exodus 3:5).
Just as Moses wasn’t left to his own intuition to know what was appropriate behavior in the presence of the holy, neither are we left to our own subjective whims as to how we should live, act, and worship as a holy people. God’s Spirit brings objective clarity to the life of faith through his inspired word. The guiding of the Holy Spirit will never lead us to a place that is a contradiction of his word. Scripture is always the litmus test of spiritual truth.
