“My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever” (Psalm 73:26).

Having been very pleased with my blood pressure, resting heart rate, and other vitals taken at my annual physical, any lasting satisfaction was bridled by the knowledge of those occasions when individuals have dropped dead even after having recently received a clear bill of health. The reality is, because of disease and decay, flesh and blood is an inevitable losing proposition. Even so, our blood pressure and heart rate need not rise when we exercise trust in the eternal care of our Father.
