“Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God (Psalm 20:7).

Just as ancient cultures put their trust in the tools of warfare and the accomplishments of human ingenuity, we can easily fall into the trap of trusting those things that offer a sense of security for the moment; failing to realize that these, too, will fade into the pages of history. Human achievement is ever evolving and forward reaching and as such, ironically, cannot be our source of confidence. The only firm foundation is realized in the One who is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
