“We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ” (2 Corinthians 10:5).
It is said that one of the best arguments for God is a life lived well. If that be so then our actions speak volumes to those who would see us. But what is the catalyst of our actions? Is it not our thoughts? The wisdom writer states, “For as a man thinks in his heart, so is he” (Proverbs 23:7). What captivates our minds ultimately plays out in our lives. Thus, we must take captive every thought and direct it toward that which is reflects our obedience to Christ. Jesus’ disciples have never out argued their critics. We have out loved them while showcasing the mercy and grace of God through lives of obedience. Let us commit to thinking well that we might live well our faith.
