“As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world” (John 17:18).
That we are a people sent forth implies that we are equipped to do so. The faith entrusted to us, by design, is one of going and making, not sitting and waiting. I fear our sanctuaries are becoming shelters for fearful saints instead launching pads to bold service. Fear creeps in when we sit around fretting over what’s been lost and what used to be. The only counter-measure to such fear is to get out and go as sent.
