“We are witnesses of all the things He did both in the land of the Jews and in Jerusalem. They also put Him to death by hanging Him on a cross.” (Acts 10:39).

Even though Peter is speaking of himself, and all others who observed the post-resurrected Christ, his present tense use of “witnesses” is a crucial and strategic reminder of the legacy and kinship that we have been privileged to receive and entrusted to perpetuate. What Peter witnessed of the resurrected Christ, we are living today as testimonies of his resurrection.
