“While they were talking and discussing, Jesus Himself approached and began traveling with them. But their eyes were prevented from recognizing Him” (Luke 24:15-16).
We sometimes miss the presence of the Lord because we look for him in the wrong places in the wrong way. We are doomed to frustration if we pursue the notion that God is always “out there” somewhere; anywhere other than where we are right now. Sometimes our encounters are obvious and powerful, but most often they are subtle, gentle; a chance encounter with a stranger; a friend; someone that crosses your path in the mundane course of the day but ministers to your life.
