“For My thoughts are not your thoughts…” (Isaiah 55:8a).
The supernatural nature of God’s thoughts point to his immanence and transcendence and the assurance that his purposes are being woven, plaited, and braided into his created order. Where others see only randomness and disorder, faith trusts in a plan that is working beyond our circumstances. Before Zacchaeus was ever born, the sycamore tree from which he would see Jesus was already growing. Hundreds of years before the Samaritan woman would ever hear of living water, a spring would fill a well and set the stage for a life changing conversation. Before there is ever a need, God’s plan has sufficiently provided everything necessary to fulfill his purposes.
