“Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence?” (Psalm 139:7).
Call the roll of any circumstance, and the presence of God can be answered for. The theological depiction of God’s nature as omnipresent is not only a biblical doctrine, but a practical assurance of God’s accessibility; that he is not distant, aloof, and uninvolved. While certain crises and seasons in life may cause one to ask, “Where is God?”, our faith assures us that there is no place where he isn’t. Despite our “feelings,” there is never a time when we are not providentially situated. It requires of us a vision of faith that allows God to have ways that are not our ways.
