“Do not listen to the words of the prophets who are prophesying to you. They are leading you into futility; they speak a vision of their own imagination” (Jeremiah 23:16).
False messages bombard us daily, filling us with lies of better days; that if you have the right job, make the right investments, marry the right person, live in the right neighborhood, take the latest supplements, stay physically fit, you will have a life of peace, joy, and fulfillment. Such superficial, periphery issues, however, only make life more miserable and frantic. As result, most people are overdeveloped survivors and underdeveloped achievers who settle for mediocrity in every facet of life. Faith offers a vision for something else — a life with focus, direction, and purpose. It is a simplified perspective on life that achieves more with less — a single-minded, Christ-honoring view that brings abundance to every area of life.
