“For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in; naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me. …to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me” (Matthew 25:35-36, 40).
Want to do something really big for God? Praying about an opportunity to do something grandiose for the Kingdom? Thing again! Think smaller; more basic. Think about the daily, if not hourly, occurrences that are ours to feed a hunger that goes beyond bread; to quench a thirst that cannot be satisfied with water; to speak encouragement to those imprisoned by circumstances; to show hospitality to the ones who cross our path. Simple responses make an eternal difference.
