“I tell you, no, but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish” (Luke 13:3).
Repentance is of absolute necessity in the life of faith. It is the means by which we let go of not only sin, but also those attitudes, patterns, and behaviors that restrict and hold us back in the pursuit of the life that faith sets before us. Repentance means to embrace a different way of thinking about, looking at, and responding to life. It is the proactive means by which the Spirit of the living Christ is transforming our lives.
