“Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation” (2 Corinthians 5:18).
The life of faith is one that exists for the benefit of others. As those who have known grace, we are to be gracious. It is anticipated that those who have been the beneficiaries of a merciful God will, themselves, be the benefactors of mercy; that as the redeemed we will now seek to be redemptive. Because God has reconciled us to himself, we have been handed the baton of responsibility for the advancement of the gospel of reconciliation. We cannot be containers of God’s loving purposes without being a conduit that seeks to pass it on to others.
