“Now the Lord said to Abram, ‘Go forth from your country, and from your relatives and from your father’s house, to the land which I will show you’” (Genesis 12:1).
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations” (Matthew 28:19).
The heart of God is that we be a missional people. The similarity between the two focal passages cannot be ignored. From the call of Abraham in Genesis to the Great Commission given by Jesus, we have the same Sender, the same command, the same mission, and the same object — the whole world. To be a missional people is to have a heartbeat that beats with the Father.
