BEING A BLESSING

“And Simeon blessed them and said to Mary His mother, ‘Behold, this Child is appointed for the fall and rise of many in Israel, and for a sign to be opposed’” (Luke 2:34).

I do not want to be an annoying stumbling block to those God is, even now, birthing and preparing to someday lead his church; holding them hostage to the preservation of my own personal preferences. I would desire to be mature in the faith, like Simeon, seeking to be an encourager to a new generation; enthusiastically anticipating how God’s Spirit will inspire and work through them to accomplish what eye has not seen, ear has not heard, and has not even entered into the heart of man. What is your desire? It’s the difference between being a burden or a blessing.
