“For the Son of Man is going to come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and will then repay every man according to His deeds” (Matthew 16:27).
For those who have answered the call of discipleship, whose relationship with and commitment to Christ is the very identity and the driving force in their life, the coming of the Lord isn’t a day of fearful dread but hopeful anticipation. We need to know that the life to which he has called us will be rewarded; that how we live really does matter and doesn’t go unnoticed.
